In the early 2000's I was primarily concerned with the visual language of biomorphic abstraction. I was interested in early 20th century sculptors like Henry Moore, Jean Arp and Barbara Hepworth. I became interested in the interpretation of nature and biological systems through this aesthetic lens. More contemporary inspiration came from Anish Kapoor and Louise Bourgeois. The resulting body of work was showcased in my first solo exhibition since my MFA thesis exhibit, entitled All Things.
